At Woodbury Lutheran, giving is something we do with a spirit of joy in response to the love and forgiveness we have freely received in Jesus. We never give out of obligation or guilt. Your gift works to help those in need and drives what we're all about: Multiplying Disciples. Transforming Lives.

Giving during a Service

During all of our worship services, there's an opportunity to give. In blended worship, offering plates are passed. In contemporary worship, you have an opportunity to bring your offering forward and place it in a basket. 

Giving Online

Give simply and securely via your debit card, credit card, or bank account. You can customize your donations to be one-time or recurring gifts. You can also view your giving history and giving statements online.

Giving by Text

Text any dollar amount, between $10 and $2,000, you would like to give to 651-504-0500.  You'll receive a text with a link to complete your payment details.  Tap the link.  Enter your info with the credit/debit card you'd like to use.  You only need to fill out this form the first time you give.  Next time you would like give, just text your gift amount to 651-504-0500! 

Non-Cash Giving

You can donate stocks, bonds, or mutual funds as gifts or do a planned gift as a portion of your estate. If you are interested giving a gift in this way, please email Mark Stutelberg or call 651-739-5144.

Woodbury Lutheran Foundation (Endowment Giving)

The purpose of the Woodbury Lutheran Foundation is to support, assist, and promote the mission of Woodbury Lutheran Church. In considering your estate and charitable plans for the future, you may not only be thinking about how to help your family and save on taxes, but also how you might benefit the ministries of Woodbury Lutheran Church. You can support the endowment in one of three ways:

  1. Give now and offer immediate support to the Fund
  2. Give later and benefit the Fund upon death.
  3. Give and receive by giving income now + a later gift.

Note: All undesignated gifts will be placed into the general fund.

Why We Give

As a church, we believe that Jesus calls us to live generous lives in response to his goodness and grace. We never give out of obligation or guilt only out of love for Jesus. One of the ways we talk about giving at WLC is that it's a journey, a path that we walk on together. As we walk that path we all find ourselves at different places, yet we seek to take a next step in generosity so that we can learn to cling to Jesus more and more and hold loosely to the things of this world.

What is Jesus' call to give?

In the Old Testament, God called his people to give a tithe (a word that literally means a "tenth"). However, Jesus raised the standard of giving. Jesus is calls us to giving generously and sacrificially in response to his goodness. Sometimes this means giving a tenth sometimes it means giving less or giving more than that. The call is to be sacrificial in response to what Jesus has done.
