Weddings

We believe that a wedding is more than just a ceremony or ritual. In a wedding a couple makes sacred vows of life-long faithfulness to one another and begins their new life, joined together by God.

Planning Your Wedding

6 sessions of premarital counseling are required for all marriages performed at Woodbury Lutheran:

• A 1-hour introductory session with with the pastor who will officiate the wedding.
• 4 sessions where couples receive reading assignments and work through the Kiersey Temperament Sorter and the Prepare/Enrich Inventory.
• 1 final session with the pastor focusing on details of the wedding service (music,  Scripture readings, etc.).
