Zechariah served as Priest when he was chosen to burn incense in the sanctuary.  The Angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah promising a child to his barren wife Elizabeth.  This child would be named John and he would prepare the way for Jesus, but Zechariah had a hard time believing and was silenced.  During this loud Christmas season may we all find time to be silent and believe the promises of our Savior!
