Live Worship

Cloud and Fire (OH)

The LORD promises to be ever-present in the lives of His people. He has covenanted with them, promising that He will remain true to redeeming them and making His name known throughout all the earth. Jesus promises that He will be with us always. His Church (the body of Christ) spans all continents and is growing in incredible ways still to this day. Right now, the Church is being more persecuted than ever before in the history of the world. Persecution can happen in our western contexts, however, often times we confuse persecution with a loss of privilege in the west. Let us remain together in prayer and relationship with our brothers and sisters in Christ across the globe who are facing persecution in order that Jesus’ name and grace might be proclaimed to all peoples on earth. Tertullian said, “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church.” God is bringing many sons and daughters to His glory through both the lives and deaths of His Church. Even in the face of death, Jesus promises to be with and to deliver His people.

Spend some time in prayer for disciples of Jesus facing persecution in our world today. Read Exodus 18-20.
