Defying the Odds Week 1 (VC1)
As the Israelites faced the mighty Philistines in battle day after day they were taunted by the giant Goliath. Standing at over 9 feet tall with armor weighing more than 125 pounds the odds of defeating Goliath in battle were minuscule. The disciples must have felt very much the same way as they watched Jesus ascend into heaven. As we face seemingly insurmountable odds as the church today, will we shrink back or step forward in faith.
