How do I fill this gap I have in my life?  Sin has created a gap between us and God and we look for many ways to fill this gap in our life.  Jesus reaches across significant barriers (racial, cultural, gender and moral) to connect with this Samaritan outcast trying to fill her gap with earthly means. There is nothing on the outside that can satisfy the thirst she has on the inside.

Make a list of the top ten earthly things that are your go-to’s to try and fill gaps in your life.  Ask for the Lord to give you wisdom and recognition when you are trying to fill those gaps with anything outside of your relationship with Jesus.
