From the Tent (VC)

When the LORD’s glory descended upon the Tent of Meeting at the end of Exodus (40:34–35), Moses could not enter the tent (because of his sin and the sin of the people). In the first verse of Leviticus we see that the LORD calls out to Moses and speaks to him from the tent. The LORD’s objective in Leviticus is to move Moses and the Israelites from being outside of the tent; into the tent. This is accomplished by the LORD, as we see in the following book, the Book of “Numbers”, when its opening verse tells us that the LORD spoke to Moses in the tent (1:1). We see in the Book of Hebrews that Jesus is the mediator who calls out to us to receive the promised eternal inheritance, where we dwell together with Him and the Father in all holiness.

Spend some time articulating in your mind what it means that God desires to dwell with/among you. Then articulate that good news to another!
