The LORD looks upon His people Israel and sees the oppression from Pharaoh. He hears their cries and promises to deliver them because of the covenant He made with their fathers. The Holy Spirit works in our lives, interceding for us in accordance with God’s will. Prayer becomes utter dependence upon God, recognizing that without Him, our situations are hopeless.

Spend some time praying to God about those with no hope. Read Exodus 9-11.
