Jesus identifies that He is the Great I AM; that He and the Father are One. The LORD declares who He is to Moses; that He is the God of their fathers. It is in this identity that Moses and all who trust in the LORD will be saved. Jesus is the one who will deliver His people from bondage and death. Jesus is the fulfillment of the covenant to Abraham and the sons of Israel and the One who now gives us our identity. No longer do we need to live life searching for our identity in things that fade away. We are sons and daughters of the King. He has called us by name and given us life and purpose in Him.
