Faith is like a wildfire. It spreads quickly, it changes the landscape, it is unstoppable. The Christian church has spread throughout nearly the whole earth, and continues to spread today in the furthest reaches of human civilization. But it all started with a simple spark. The history of the Church can be traced back to this day – Pentecost, when God sent the Holy Spirit into the followers of Jesus and equipped them to advance the gospel like a wildfire. We are still beneficiaries of the Spirit’s gifts today, and we are tasked with the same command to share the love of God with people of every nation, culture and background.

1. Faith is viral. One person passionate about the gospel can “infect” many more, and the movement becomes exponential.
2. The Spirit works through the scriptures to inform our thoughts about God and to tell us of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Therein truth can be found.
3. The Holy Spirit Equips Christians to  proclaim the love of Jesus to the whole world. Each of us is called to be a missionary in our own context.
