Jesus gave thanks and encouraged the church in Smyrna to endure, to be faithful to the end and they too would receive the crown of life.  Modern day Turkey remains one of the least churched nations in the world where persecution is the norm for disciples of Jesus.  What can we learn from the church at Smyrna about being faithful, even in the face of persecution?
