Remember the Covenant (VC)
Before we step into Leviticus, we must look back. We must look back and recall the LORD’s promise to redeem His creation from the curse of sin and death that it was in bondage to. We must look back and be reminded that the LORD indeed rescued His people from their slavery in Egypt (i.e. the Passover) to be a people who are brought back to Him and set apart to worship Him. When we see the LORD’s promises and His deliverance of those promises, we are then set to step into the worship and relationship that Leviticus draws for us between Creator and creature. Ultimately, Jesus is the Passover Lamb who fully unites all who believe upon Him, back to the Father.
Read some of Stephen’s final words in Acts 7:2–36. Recall the story of God’s promise to Abram and His rescuing of the Israelites through His prophet, Moses. Now consider how God has been faithful to you, in your life. Take a few moments each day this week to delight in His faithfulness to you.
