Religion is powerful—so powerful it can shape our consciences. Unfortunately, our consciences have been shaped by a version of Christianity that reflects a blend of the rules-focused temple model with the Jesus movement, which is demonstrated by love. As a result, we’re tempted to prioritize law-keeping/knowledge over loving others. How do we shift our perspective to live in love and belief the way that Jesus had in mind?

1. Sometimes we let laws/beliefs get in the way of our love.
2. We believe and so we live in love.
3. If we become all about belief or all about behavior, we need to check our perspective.
4. God shows us on the cross that he is for us so we can be for others.
