Jesus loved His people the Israelite's, in fact it was and is His desire to gather them together like a hen gathers her chicks. So you can imagine the sorrow He felt when many of them rejected the gift He offered. Along the way sorrow is something that we will all face, the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, a illness, a broken relationship. Part of carrying our cross is trustingly looking to Jesus for comfort in the midst of our sorrow.
