In the parable of the tenants Jesus shares a story with an ending that surprised all who were listening. Even more surprising were the words of Jesus that declared He was the one to be rejected and killed. Along the way we will be surprised, but the beauty for those who daily carry their cross and follow Jesus is that on the Day of Judgment there will be no surprise.
