When it comes to gifts, there are gifts we want, and there are gifts we need.  God doesn’t always give us what we want (James and John were seeking the highest places of honor from Jesus in his kingdom), but he always gives us what we need (gives his life as a ransom for many).

Examine your life and prioritize your wants and your needs.  Consider giving up something that is unnecessary in your life.
