What can we look forward to as Christians? Riches? Comfort? Jesus actually tells us something much different: we will face hatred and persecution for following him. But we won’t be alone. Jesus also promised his Holy Spirit would be with us to give us the words to say, so that others may hear, and to strengthen us, so that we would not fall away.
